FERRY TEST FOR SCOR
It could provide a major solidarity test for the South Central Ontario Region economic development group comprised of Brant, Norfolk, Oxford, Middlesex, and Elgin counties.
Elgin may ask its SCOR partners to contribute to a million dollar overhaul of Port Stanley harbour to facilitate a proposed, two-year ferry program trial to be launched next year.
An agreement-in-principle has been worked out between Central Elgin council and the Cleveland Port Authority to test the service which would feature the use of a double-hulled cataraman.
