Jan Vanderhorst “Just Us Folk”

Jan Vanderhorst “Just Us Folk”

Sunday nights at 8pm

"Just Us Folk" is a show devoted to acoustic roots music including contemporary and traditional folk, singer-songwriters, acoustic blues and bluegrass music. Since 1981, Jan Vanderhorst has showcased new and established performers in the world of folk music. Throughout the year Jan travels to folk festivals near and far to interview performers and discuss their craft. An area concert listing of touring performers is also profiled each week.

During his years in folk music, Jan has been a stage MC at many festivals, a judge for both the Canadian Folk Music Awards and the Junos Awards and has served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals.

Join "Just Us Folk" with Jan Vanderhorst, Sunday nights at 8 on AM1380.

To request a song or artist, e-mail Jan at jan@ckpcradio.com, or justusfolk@rogers.com.

On Sunday February 12th, Just Us Folk talks with Brian Gladstone about the Winterfolk Festival in Toronto. We'll also feature new music from Mike Stevens & Matt Andersen, Alan Rhody, February Sky and Anne Hills & David Roth. As always, we'll highlight upcoming concerts in the area.
